The truth is that Moscow tax lawyer Magnitski was imprisoned for uncovering a rebate scam worth $230 million. The scam was engineered by powerful members of the Russian police, Judiciary, and tax authorities, each no doubt politically well connected. Magnitski was held in prison, denied bail, and then denied urgent medical attention leading to his death at age 37. To watch RT's version of events one would think that the Magnitski scandal was nothing more than a hygiene issue.
